South Hiendley Rock Solid starts at 7pm and finishes at 8:30pm every Monday evening. The venue is Jenny’s Field, Main Street, South Hiendley, Barnsley. S72 9BP. If you would like your child to join, please contact the office and we can let you know whether there is a space and if not, get your child on the waiting list.

The club is run by a team of staff and volunteers and is structured in a way that the young people enjoy. Every week there is a theme or topic, for example, ‘Healthy Eating’, ‘Cyber Bullying’ etc, but unlike Kidz Klub, our approach is much more craft activity. We then have refreshments and a chance just to chat and listen to music. This then leads onto a discussion group, or presentation on the week’s topic, always presented in an entertaining and imaginative way. The final part of the club is an extended period which can involve; dance, drama, crafts, music, quizzes, sports and games… anything that young people find entertaining and interesting. Once a month we take the Rock Solid youth groups out on an “outdoor Social” as we call them. This could be swimming, bowling, ice skating, climbing, go-karting, cinema, theatre or a local park in the summer. Tash and Jess lead this club with support from some of our excellent volunteers.
